Organization
Walpurgis is designed, written and directed by José Castillo Meseguer and Juan Ignacio Ros, members of the Somnia larp group.
Juan Ignacio Ros is a Spanish writer, larp designer and proponent of the «play to flow» concept. He has experience with mainstream larp, but focuses in small, focused and experimental high resolution events. He also has an avid interest for symbolism and alternative narratives and their mixing with immersion and designs larps since he co-founded Somnia. He also keeps a larp blog.
José Castillo Meseguer is an international larp organizer, both as a member of Somnia and by himself. Co-founder of the Spanish larp conference EntreRevs. Co-founder of the experimental group Larp Lab Vienna. Founder of several larp initiatives such as Larp Spain or Larp Drive. Passionate for trying out different styles, he firmly believes that Larp will finally achieve it’s recognition as a form of art.
Somnia is a non-profit Spanish collective of larp organizers and designers and the spearhead group for vanguard events in Spain. Behind Somnia is the Cultural Association Tejedores de Sueños, one of the most veteran organizations in Spain, which has been performing these activities for more than thirteen years. We have made more than 30 playworks of various settings, experimenting with larp form and content. Our last big project was la sirena varada, which had three runs between 2015 and 2017.
